“Pop duo Orchid and Hound is John Constantine and Lawrence Alarcon, two formally trained musicians with an ear for melding classical and pop genres to create infectious songs that chronicle the joys and complications of the modern world in a timeless fashion. Mr. Constantine and Mr. Alarcon, both 23, first met and dated while attending the prestigious Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. While their romantic relationship did not last, their friendship and shared love of music endured, setting the stage for what would become the signature harmonies of Orchid and Hound. Founded in San Francisco in 2009, O&H has quickly attracted local buzz, played to standing-room only crowds, and landed a coveted showcase at the 2010 SXSW Music Festival in Austin, TX.
