One of the rewards from our Kickstarter project is a live video-recorded song of the backer’s choice. A good friend of mine, Zach M., requested our song Thursday. This is one of the very first songs me and Lawrence wrote as Orchid and Hound.

Zach, this is for you:

THANK YOU ZACH!!

What a day. Waking up to “Congrats! You have raised $2,460!” is a very good way to start a Tuesday. Can’t believe how far we’ve come in a year.

Unconditional love+support is a beautiful thing, and very rare in this world. Spread it around.

Thank you Thank You Thank you

Trip to Los Angeles

O&H walks in L.A..

Day One: Browsed through endless racks of costumes and came out with wicked shoes, accessories, riding pants, and DIOR. Finished the night in West Hollywood, which… I have to be honest fellas – has nothing on bars in S.F.

Day Two: It was 80℉. There was a pool. Done and done. There was rehearsal somewhere in between and then a belated birthday party for Lolo and his family.

Day Three: SHOW TIME. Check out the photos taken by Genevieve Parker:

After the show we tried our luck at a dive bar. On this warm Los Angeles night we stumbled into The Golden Coast, which was so much better than The Abbey. No pretention, cheap drinks, and free peanuts. Our barternder, Beau, asked if we had just come from a performance. I wonder if the Dior and diamond and gold broaches gave it away? He bought a round of drinks for our group and we gave him free music. O&H supports a barter economy :) Our night ended at Hamburger Mary’s where I consumed Buffy the Hamburger Slayer and preceded to crash at Lolo’s uncles house above Sunset. The next morning, we drove back up the 5 North to San Francisco.

Now, time to finish writing the album. More on that soonnnnnn!

O&H at Gay Day

Leave it to the queens to give us our very first Green Room. Not only did we load up on chex mix, m&ms, and fiji water – but we also fell freely from 224 feet. Gay Day at California’s Great America was… well… gay :) Check out photos and video from the event:
